The Copper Harbor area offers many activities for those who enjoy clean air, natural beauty and adventure. The region is a natural playground offering mixed woodlands, rolling mountains, pristine lakes and of course Lake Superior.

In the winter the area is a wonderland, blanketed in an average snowfall of 270" of fluffy, lake effect snow. Enjoy the great outdoors. Get out there and play in the snow!

Skiing & Boarding

Mount Bohemia is just 14 miles from Copper Harbor. Bohemia boasts the highest vertical drop in the midwest. The skiing is extreme - no beginners allowed. Visit their website (link at left).

Snowmobiling

There are over 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the Keweenaw which connect to the 2,500 miles of trails covering Michigan's Upper Peninsula. All trails are 8 to 12 feet wide and clearly marked. Trails take the rider through snow blanketed forests, along frozen shores and over rolling mountains.
