In winter, this scenic road becomes part of snowmobile trail #3. This mountain drive takes you 735 feet above Copper Harbor for a breathtaking view where the mountains meet Lake Superior. This is the place the Brockway Mountain Challenge, a x-c ski race, takes place. Snow-shoers are given a real challenge and are rewarded for their efforts. It's a great way to view our winter wonderland!

Beginning from Copper Harbor the mountain trail goes up about 3.5 miles to the top. The trail then goes down the other side and continues to Eagle Harbor.
