Raptors of Brockway Mountain Presentation
Saturday, May 2nd at 7:00 pm
- Raptor expert Vic Berardi will be doing a presentation about the birds of prey that migrate through our area every year at this time. Come and learn more about these fascinating birds and their migration! Held at the Community Hall. Coffee and refreshments will be served.

Copper Harbor Volunteer Fire Department Spaghetti Dinner
Friday, June 12th
- Come out and show your support for this great group of dedicated fellas! Held at the Mariner North from 5 pm to 8 pm. Adults $8, Children $5. 50/50 raffle, silent auction and bake sale too!
The Longest Fishing Tournament
Saturday, June 20th -
The Longest Fishing Tournament is held on the waters of Lac La Belle, Copper Harbor, Eagle Harbor and Lake Medora. No boat is permitted more than 5 miles from the Lake Superior Shoreline. Tournament begins at 6 am on Saturday, June 20, and ends at 3:30 pm with the Awards Ceremony at 8 pm at the Mariner North in Copper Harbor. Check in and weighing of fish will be done at the Gaslite General Store.  A pre-tournament meeting will be held from 7 - 9 pm on Friday, June 19 at the Copper Harbor Community Building and will include refreshments, live music and a fish boil. Father's Day Golf Outing

Keweenaw Trail Run
Friday & Saturday, July 11th & 12th
- Join us in the wild and beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula for an epic weekend of trail running, delicious food and fun! Events include the 10km run on the tranquil Garden Brook Trail in Copper Harbor, the youth 2km run over open grass and forest, and the Hill Climb from the Eagle Harbor beach to the Mt. Lookout summit on Saturday and the 25km run through the rugged backcountry forests of northern Keweenaw County on Sunday. The weekend also includes awards, organic cotton T-shirts, breakfast of organic & locally grown foods and a strong commitment to the environment. Battery D, First Michigan Light Artillery Civil War Encampment

History comes alive at Fort Wilkins State Park on US-41 just east of Copper Harbor Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26. Battery D, 1st Michigan Light Artillery, a Civil War era living history group returns to Fort Wilkins for a weekend encampment. The weekend event will be open to park visitors from 8 am to 8 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 8 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Battery D will interpret army life of the period demonstrating artillery and small arms drills, period cooking and soldiers' pastimes. Mount Bohemia Scenic Chairlift Rides
July 24th thru August 1st - Ride the chairlift to the top of Mount Bohemia for one of the best views in all of the Keweenaw. Pack a lunch and have a picnic up top. See four lakes,mountains, and miles of wilderness from up top. When its time to go back down either take the chairlift back down or hike down one of the hiking trails on Mount Bohemia. The Copperman Triathlon
Saturday, August 1st
- The triathlon is held from Ft. Wilkins State Park on US-41 in Copper Harbor. Swim tranquil Lake Fanny Hooe, bike the rocky shores of Lake Superior & run through the wilderness on shaded roads. Sponsored by the Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center. For information call Terry Smythe at 906-482-8201.

Art in the Park
Saturday & Sunday, August 15th & 16th
- Artisans from throughout the midwest congregate for this 2 day show in the heart of Copper Harbor. Both days offer live music, homemade goodies available at the bake sale with hot pasties and a brats/hot dogs cookout by the CHFD for lunch. This event is a proven treat for the eyes, ears and the eats...and one that you won't want to miss! Rain of shine in Grant Township Park. Lake Superior Pro Rally
Friday & Saturday, October 16th & 17th -The Lake Superior Pro Rally is organized by the Lake Superior Region of the Sports Car Club of America, Inc., and has twice (1996 and 1998), garnered recognition as "SCCA Pro Rally of the Year." Although there has been some shuffling of positions, the award-winning organizing committee hasn't changed very much since then. This rally, held in Baraga, Houghton & Keweenaw counties is billed as one of the meanest, toughest pro rallys in North America.
