Start your day off right with a variety of breakfast choices from gourmet coffee to hearty meals. Venture into our areas fascinating history at Fort Wilkins State Park, the Copper Harbor Lighthouse Museum and other interesting places. Learn about copper mining and tour a real mine at Delaware Mine. Take a tour, charter a boat or dive in the underwater preserve and discover more of what Copper Harbor has to offer. Enjoy hiking, bicycling, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, agate hunting, berry picking and more outdoor activities. If you didn't bring it along, rent it in town. Explore a virgin white pine forest - you may even catch a glimpse of a black bear or many other kinds of wildlife. Explore the natural attractions offered by our areas wilderness and beauty. There are many opportunities for breathtaking scenic drives. Take Brockway Mountain Drive, Lakeshore Drive, or visit nearby towns. There are many back roads to explore if you want to get off the pavement or rent an ATV for some exciting off-road adventures. For a real wilderness adventure, the local ferry will take you across Lake Superior to the treasured Isle Royale National Park. After a great meal at one of our many superb restaurants, catch a colorful sunset over Lake Superior or take a sunset cruise. At the end of a busy and fun-filled day, relax with a sauna or massage.

The "summer" season is considered to be mid-May through mid-October. This is when all the seasonal businesses are open and the snow is mostly gone. Temperatures can vary throughout summer. Normally the days are mild and the nights cool. Plan on layering clothing to assure comfort throughout the days and evenings.
