There are numerous beaches in and around Copper Harbor that are ideal for rockhounding. Enjoy superb birding all seasons and the spectacular migration activity in spring. Play a round of golf or frisbee golf or sink 18 holes at the local mini-golf course. A visit to a local cemetery or ghost town is like a walk into the past. There are several cemeteries in the area, some with headstones from the early 1800s. Mandan and Delaware are close and full of interest. History reveals itself in several sites as part of the Keweenaw County Historical Society. The Bammert Blacksmith Shop, Central Mine, Eagle Harbor Lighthouse, Eagle River Museum & Phoenix Church and Museum are a few of the exhibits open to the public for enjoyment.
