Trail grooming has been suspended but will start again if we get the snow that is expected!
There are trails especially groomed for snowshoes but you are not limited to them. One of the wonderful things about snowshoeing is that you can go a lot of places you can’t go without the snow. Break some trails!

Monday 2/8 6″ fresh snow and snowing. XC trails packed and tracked. It’s very beautiful in the woods right now. Also, if you haven’t skied or snowshoed the point trail, your missing out!

The logbook was relocated to the back entrance to the Fort, just east of the bridge over Fanny Hooe Creek.
Another great SNOWSHOE on the KPT today. Lots of critter tracks. Beautiful woodland scene. Great place to run the dogs.
Took Fern (puppy 8mo) for her first ski on the Fort Wilkins trail. Great fun for us both. First ski of the season. Trails were in great shape, groomed and tracked. Perfect temps for light gear. Good times. Miss the Ft. Wilkins Log Book though.
SNOWSHOE NIRVANA!!! Took the dogs out for a snowshoe on the Keweenaw Point Trail today. Absolutely breathtaking! At least 8 inches of fresh unbroken fluffy snow laid before us. It was a great day to be out and about. Took home two very tired and happy dogs . Refreshing.
Fri. 1/15 8″+ new snow. Trails rolled, groomed and track set on about 75% of the trail…still thin coverage in a few spots under the thick canopy. Fair to Good conditions.
