This is the final trail report for the winter of 2015-2016 in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. Although snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor will officially remain open through March 31st, grooming has ended for the season.
Houghton County has received 163.75 inches of snow for the season and has 10 inches on the ground.
Keweenaw County has received 207 inches for the season and has 15 inches on the ground.
The Keweenaw Snowmobile Club thanks everyone who helped with our winter recreation program. We look forward to opening the trails again on December 1st.
Michigan Tech and Swedetown still have good spring conditions and will continue to groom until there is not enough snow.
