The Keweenaw Mountain Lodge has a loop trail for guests to snowshoe on the Lodge property, which measures approximately 2 miles. The trail is conveniently located right outside the cabins and is a mix of wooded terrain and open spaces that skirt the golf course, and under the rocky outcrops on the back of the property. One can bring your own snowshoes, or rent a pair at the Lodge. In addition, Altai Hok skis are also for rent, which allow one to carve your own trail. A blend of snowshoes and cross country skis, these skis have skins that climb with ease and will glide down hills as you explore the backcountry. Their short, wide design makes them incredibly maneuverable, ideal for exploring un-groomed terrain. Learn more here or call 906-289-4652.
